/chapter: Processes / COMMAND LINE
Each process has an identifier by which the operating system tracks it. This is an integer number that is given to each new process, and is called the PID (for "process ID"). The gap between the PID 3923 for sh and the PID 3941 for merely shows that somebody started processes on the machine in between the times these two processes started.

What is the difference between linear and non-linear thinking?
· The Linear Nature of Logic. "Linear Thinking" is defined as follows: [Linear thinking is] a process of thought following known cycles or step-by-step progression where a response to a step must be elicited before another step is taken. Markov decision process
In mathematics, a Markov decision process (MDP) is a discrete-time stochastic control process. It provides a mathematical framework for modeling decision making in situations where outcomes are partly random and partly under the control of a decision maker. MDPs are useful for studying optimization problems solved via dynamic programming.MDPs were known at least as early as the 1950s; a core ...
In probability theory and related fields, a stochastic (/ s t oʊ ˈ k æ s t ɪ k /) or random process is a mathematical object usually defined as a family of random variables.Stochastic processes are widely used as mathematical models of systems and phenomena that appear to vary in a random manner. Examples include the growth of a bacterial population, an electrical current fluctuating due ...
Little''s Law Definition
Definition of Little''s Law: Little''s Law is named after Dr. John C.D. Little, a professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management. As an expert in Operations Research, he is best known for his proof of the queuing formula L = λW, which is now commonly called Little''s Law.. Little''s Law has been adapted and used as a simple metric for measuring the velocity of a process.
· Another option we have is as follow: first start the process suspended, patch the PEB with the to-be-hidden command line argument, patch the process entrypoint with EB FE, resume, wait, restore the original command line argument in PEB, suspend the main thread, restoring the original entrypoint and then resuming the thread. This would work as ...
